Our Gingerbread Fudge Tastes Like Christmas

Whether you're the type of person who spends December furiously whipping up batch after batch of sugar cookies or the kind who wants to get in the holiday spirit but is just too lazy to roll out dough, this gingerbread fudge is for you. It's the perfect anytime snack to enjoy with a hot cup of coffee—or better, cocoa—that requires hardly any effort.
If you haven't made fudge before, the idea of it might seem daunting. But you don't need to work in a candy factory to master it at home—we found a shortcut for you! The secret ingredient to such corner-cutting? Sweetened condensed milk. The magical ingredient creates a luxuriously thick, fudgy texture.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. white chocolate, melted
  • 1 c. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tbsp. Red nonpareils
  • 1/2 tbsp. green nonpareils

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together melted white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk. Add nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger and stir until combined. Stir in almost all nonpareils (leave some to sprinkle on top) until combined.
  2. Using a spatula, transfer fudge into a parchment-lined glass baking dish and smooth over top. Sprinkle with remaining nonpareils and let sit until firm. (Transfer to the fridge to speed up the process.) Cut into squares and enjoy.

STEP 1: COMBINE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK AND CHOCOLATE

Stir, then microwave on medium heat in 30 second increments until chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

STEP 2: SPICE IT UP

Stir in a generous pinch of ground nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon.

STEP 3: MAKE IT FESTIVE

Add red and green nonpareils because... holidays!

STEP 4: LET IT SIT

Transfer the fudge mixture to a parchment-lined glass dish and let sit until firm. If you want to speed up the process, chill it in the fridge. Once firm, cut into bites and enjoy.
